Both  VarunTej and director SrinuVaitla who are in a desperate need to score a commercial hit has come up with Mister this weekend. Let’s get into the review whether Mister really puts both of them on success track or not.

Story: Mister, is a regular commercial love story of director Srinu Vaitla. There is nothing to say new about the story. We’ve gone through such love stories in so many times. It’s combination of many familiar stories.

Pichaiah Naidu(Nasser) craves to watch his grandson, Chai(VarunTej) who hates him a lot.  Chai is a regular hero we actually come through in our Telugu love films.  He who loves to enjoy every moment of life is fell in love with Priya(Hebah Patel). On a shocking note, Chai comes to know that Priya is already in love with Siddharth(Prince). After that, it quite obvious in our Telugu Cinema that Heroine must have problem and Hero has to come her for rescue.

Apparently, Priya has some problems pertaining to love and Chai has to come to India to unite Priya with her love, Siddharth. Meanwhile, Chandramukhi(LavanyaTripathi) enters into Chai’ life. Who is Chandramukhi? Did Chai unite Priya and Siddharth? Does Pichaiah Naidu finally meet his grandson?

To know this, you’ve to watch Mister.

Analysis: Mega Prince, VarunTej who won the accolades of everyone as the most promising and amazing talent of Mega family and Tollywood has impressed a lot as Srinu Vaitla’s hero. His comic timing and ease in body language proved that Varun is also suitable for commercial romantic hero type of roles.

With this, VarunTej proved that he can do anything related to regular commercial cinema. He is like water. He can easily fit into any role. Mister’ lady loves both Hebah and LavanyaTripathi has done their part as per the script.

All the remaining actors including comedians Raghu Babu, Srinivas Reddy, Satyam Rajesh, Shakalaka Shankar have done their best to entertain. Mister is good when coming to the performances.

Coming to technicalities in Mister, Mickey J Meyer music is not so impressive. It may be the first time, instruments dominated music of Mickey. The Cinematography, fights and all other technical aspects are just okay. The production values are too good.

It’s time for director SrinuVaitla to rethink about the stories. It’s better for him to concentrate more on the story rather than forcibly including too many characters in the plot for the grandness. It is not only killing the main plot but also diluting actual plot which he and his team intend to present on the screen.  Now the end has come for immersing too many characters irrespective of the story to generate comedy in films.

In Mister, there is a dialogue to get good subjects and roles directors have to roam along with common people and identify them. Comedian Pruthvi who played the director in the film has rendered this dialogue. Now it perfectly apt for director SrinuVaitla. Whatever the characters appear in Chai’ journey are unreal, which automatically creates artificial impact. No liveliness in the roles. Mister is the combination of many popular stories which already witnessed by Telugu movie lovers.

The director SrinuVaitla has tried his best to bring all of them in one film. It seems he mainly depends on actors rather than the story and plot. This weak plot and story unveiled all the hollowness’ in Mister. Even the comedy in the film is regular.  Oopiri spoof with Srinivas and Raghu Babu is okay not going to work big time. Especially in the second half, Devagiri backdrop which creates a lot of confusion in the audience mind what we are up to. Mister raises this question many times while watching. what is the actual stuff in the film? What are we watching? There is so much unreal and unacceptable stuff in Mister. When we start to dig deeply, there are more. Mister is the combination of confusion and boring stuff.

Positive Points: VarunTej

Negative Points: Despite Mister is the combination of many popular film stories, it ended up all of them in a hurry. There is nothing for the audience to feel for.
The regular story with the lean plot.
The improper ending of characters.
Illogical, unreal and unacceptable stuff.

Conclusion: Mister is the combination of confusion and boring stuff. Mister has nothing in it except for grand star cast. It is the blend of many popular stories. Time for the director to concentrate on the story rather than immersing more actors in the film to fill the holes.
