After the romantic family entertainer, ‘Ra Randoi Veduka Chuddam’, Naga Chaitanya who keen to entertain with a different genre of films has come up with ‘Yuddham Sharanam’. Let’s see, “ How Yuddham Sharanam impresses fans and movie lovers?”

Story : With the trailer, one can easily guess that Yuddham Sharanam is a revenge drama. For every revenge drama, there is a common point that a lead actor or actress’s happy family got disturbed. For every tale, there is a reason behind the disturbance and how the lead actor/actress avenge the baddie.

As said above, Yuddham Sharanam is the same type of revenge story but the execution of the plot decides its fate. Coming to the story, Naga Chaitanya(Arjun)’s world is very beautiful and colorful with all the emotions and relations like father, mother, sister, brother-in-law and his love interest.

All of sudden, his happy world turns upside down after his mother(Revathi) and father(Rao Ramesh) are killed. Who has killed his parents? What is the reason? To avenge, “how he fought?” You’ve to watch Yuddham Sharanam on the big screen.

Analysis : As Arjun, Naga Chaitanya has done the decent job and his journey as an actor right from debut film to the current one is quite impressive. He is exceptional, especially in romantic scenes. After ANR and Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya fills their slot in romantic family entertainers. He is cool and lively.

In Yuddham Sharanam, Senior Hero, Srikanth is the main asset as an antagonist. He performed brilliantly and exhibited the emotions wonderfully through eyes. The remaining other actors including Lavanya Tripathi, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma and Revathi have performed neatly and nicely.

Coming to technical aspects, the music director Vivek Sagar has done the commendable job in background score mainly in some key episodes. He has given amazing songs and has great future if keep continues doing good work like this. The cinematography is also pretty good. The editing also fine. The production values of Yuddham Sharanam is as usual up to the standards of Varaahi.

Almost each and every cast and crew member has delivered the output what the debutant director, Krishna Marimuthu anticipated. It is not an easy task to handle revenge action dramas because the story is routine and the execution needs to be smart, crispy, intense and intriguing.

If the director failed to excite the audience, the film became an ordinary and routine film. Because of his inexperience, he has done the same mistake despite he beautifully blended all the emotions in the first half. Whatever the excitement, the director has created until the interval episode with nice execution and the exciting twist is failed to continue the same in the most important second half.

The second half of Yuddham Sharanam lacks soul. One thing everyone won’t understand, why the director hasn’t taken the emotion of the lead actor, Arjun after lost his parents who are the main pillars of the happiness in his world. Even the director failed to project that pain and intensity in Arjun character during his fight against Nayak(Srikanth), which apparently disconnected the audience to the plot in the second half. Besides this, the way he projects Nayak character in the first half has ended up easily in the second half without giving the proper counter attack to Arjun. Actually, this kind of revenge dramas needs intelligent, intense and crispy game in the second half.

But it lacks in the second half alongside with emotion. The debutant director missed few logics too like Nayak knows everything happening around in a fraction of time but why he cannot identify the fight started by Arjun and his instincts against him. When an audience is thinking about logic means the director hasn’t executed the plot convincingly.

Yuddham Sharam got a beautiful first half with pretty good work of cast and crew. The film became another interesting film in the career of the actor, Naga Chaitanya.

Positive Points:
Srikanth, Naga Chaitanya, Revathi, Rao Ramesh
Vimal Sagar’s songs and background score in few episodes
First Half
Negative Points:
Routine Story
lack of soul in the second half
Yuddham Sharanam offers cool first half with beautiful emotions, songs and performances of the lead actors Srikanth and Naga Chaitanya. But lack of emotion in the second half. Yuddham Sharanam is a routine revenge drama which lacks soul.
